Game Title: Bog Water

Game Premise:  In Bog Water, you begin the game by being sent into a dreamlike state where you reside in a swampy, deserted, decaying forest environment. Throughout the game, it is your job to find items in each level to help you build a tool or make a potion that will send you back to the real world. The game's mood is lonely, eerie, desperate, mythical, curious, and familiar yet foreign. This mood is represented using color and lighting as well as through the objects in the game itself. By utilizing dark and musty colors, the player is experiencing the moods of desperation and eeriness. The theme of Bog Water is self-preservation and foraging, including challenges such as monsters/ghosts/faeries that you would have to avoid, thus adding the theme of survival to the plot.

Organic Assets

The organic assets modeled for this game were mushrooms made to resemble the classic red topped fly agaric mushroom. This asset was first created in Maya, and then exported to Substance Painter for texture and paint applications.

Architectural Assets

The architectural asset modeled for this game was a mausoleum-styled cemetery statue. This asset was first created in Maya and then exported to Mudbox to texture the base, mimicking marble to contrast the earth tones around it. From here, it was taken into Substance Painter for final texture and paint applications.
